The uniqueness of Pacific Coast Bible College & Graduate School of Theology degree programs lie in the firm commitment to offer a curriculum, which will contribute to the development of the whole person in Christian church service. At the heart of the degree program is a strong emphasis upon the Bible.

Without exception, our degree program encompass and are consistent with our church and Pentecostal denominational beliefs, doctrine, and philosophy - based on the Holy Scripture the Bible and a Holy Spirit led criteria.

DEGREE PROGRAMS OFFERED

ASSOCIATE DEGREE  IN THEOLOGY
This degree requires the completion of 96 quarter hours of Bible study, with a minimum of 48 quarter hours that must be completed in residency. Students will be required to maintain a "C" average (2.0) in course work.

BACHELOR DEGREE IN THEOLOGY or BACHELOR DEGREE IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
This degree requires the completion of 180 quarter hours of Bible study or related education, with a minimum of 48 quarter hours that must be completed in residency. Students will be required to maintain a "C" average (2.0) in course work.

MASTERS DEGREE IN THEOLOGY or MASTERS DEGREE IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
This degree is designed to meet the needs of the student ministering in the local church or denomination. The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an approved College or Bible School .

The candidate must complete 84 graduate quarter hours of course work 48 of which must be completed in residency. Thirty-six (36) quarter hours may be transferred from an acceptable institution of higher learning provided the curriculum requirements are similar. The student must maintain a grade point of "B" (3.0) or higher for the entire period of this degree program. Extension or Independent Study credit is counted as residence credit.

The thesis requirement for this degree program is 75-100 pages or a project equivalent and must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. All students are required to take the thesis or project course as designated by course number 800 or 801.
2. The subject chosen must be approved by the Academic Committee and the thesis/project topic and contents must not duplicate current or previous work. Previously written manuscripts or books will not be accepted.
3. A time limit not to exceed two years will be allowed for the completion of the thesis/project following the regular course work. Any extension must be submitted by petition to the Academic Committee.

 

DOCTOR OF THEOLOGY or DOCTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
This degree is designed to meet the needs of the student ministering in the local church or denomination. The candidate must possess a Master degree or the equivalent from an approved Graduate School or Seminary.

The candidate must complete 168 graduate quarter hours of course work 48 of which must be completed in residency. Thirty-six (36) quarter hours may be transferred from an acceptable institution of higher learning provided the curriculum requirements are similar. The student must maintain a grade point of "B+" (3.5) or higher for the entire period of this degree program. Extension or Independent Study credit is counted as residence credit.

The dissertation requirements for this degree program is 200-250 pages or a project equivalent and must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. All students are required to take the dissertation or project course as designated by course number 800 or 801.
2. The subject chosen must be approved by the Academic Committee and the dissertation/project topic and contents must not duplicate current or previous work. Previously written manuscripts or books will not be accepted.
3. A time limit not to exceed four years will be allowed for the completion of the dissertation/project following the regular course work. Any extension must be submitted by petition to the Academic Committee.
4. The candidate must pass general and/or qualifying examinations in the areas of their major and/or minor concentrations.

NOTE : To those persons desiring to transfer to Pacific Coast Bible College and Graduate School of Theology, must recognize and understand, the purpose of this institution is: teaching, training, and equipping people and ministers for our local church and in our Pentecostal denominational (Affiliate Churches) beliefs, doctrine, and in it's philosophy.
